Hollow Stem Auger Cast Pile Underpinning System
Download Auger Pile Brochure (PDF) JSI has developed machinery to provide a high quality foundation repair system for virtually any soil condition. The cast in place pile offers flexibility in placement as well as design that is not offered with premanufactured underpinning systems such as driven or twisted piers. Step 1: An access hole is opened 24 inches below the foundation for the auger placement.
Step 2: The pile is drilled to the desired depth where pumping begins. Grout is placed through the stem of the auger while the bit is withdrawn.. Step 3: The area to be the pile cap is cleaned of the drilling spoil and pumped with a high strength grout mix. Reinforcing steel is placed in the pile and pile cap. Step 4: After the grout has had time to cure (3 days minimum), jacks can be placed on the pile cap to lift the structure. The jacks are placed directly below the structure to prevent any eccentric load from being introduced into the walls or floors. Step 5: When the structure is lifted, the secondary pour is made encasing the jack and filling any voids that may have been created during the lift. 99 Park Hill Blvd., Suite 101 West Melbourne, Florida 32904 Phone: (321) 729-0255 Fax: (321) 729-0454 CGC 050993 Email: info@jsifoundations.com |
